Overview

RESEARCH SCIENTIST:

Responsible for the design, execution and interpretation of molecular profiling (e.g. NGS) nonclinical and clinical studies that evaluate mechanism of action pharmacology and efficacy of novel cancer therapies. Design and implement molecular profiling analyses, in addition to pharmacology studies that are conducted in-house.

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications:

Ph.D. in molecular biology or related fields or master’s degree with relevant experience.  Five or more years of bench research experience in oncology or a related field.  Adept with data analysis and statistical testing using Excel, JMP, R or other data analysis environments, as well as bioinformatics and programming capabilities (e.g. PERL, python).  Experience with performing NGS conducted both in-house and outsourced and with routine pharmacology and oncology assays.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, execution and interpretation of molecular profiling (e.g. NGS) nonclinical and clinical studies that evaluate mechanism of action pharmacology and efficacy of novel cancer therapies.
  • Design and implement in-house profiling analyses, in addition to pharmacology studies that are conducted in-house.
  • Data analysis and statistical testing using Excel, JMP, R or other data analysis environments, as well as bioinformatics and programming capabilities (e.g. PERL, python).
  • Conduct both in-house and outsourced NGS studies.
  • Perform routine pharmacology and oncology assays
  • Analyzing omics sequencing datasets
  • Presentations summarizing results for internal communications and external presentations.
  • Support preparation of conference abstracts and manuscripts for publication as needed.
  • Develop proper operational, data documentation and troubleshooting procedures)
